Excellence Proven in Practice
Best Electrician professional skills competition was held at Tantalum Operations with young specialists from one of the most demanding and sought-after professions as part of the Year of Blue-Collar Professions.
The competition program included two stages: theoretical and practical. Participants completed 20 tasks consisting of test questions and calculation tasks during the theoretical exam. Knowledge of regulatory documentation, basics of electrical engineering and skill to find solutions in unscripted situations were tested.
The practical stage involved participants carrying out an inspection of an electrical circuit with interlocking on starters. The jury evaluated the speed of task completion, the quality of installation and strict compliance with occupational safety requirements.
The competition jury included leading specialists from the Tantalum Operations. The competition was opened by Maxim Zaitsev, Chief Power Engineer at UMP JSC, who emphasized that initiatives of this kind play an important role in the development of professional competencies.
Based on the results of the competition:
First place was awarded to Nursultan Uzbayev, fifth-grade Electrician specializing in the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.
Second place was taken by Yevgeniy Pelikh.
And third place was taken by Adilbek Amerkhanov.
