A Journey of Thousands of Kilometers
The 20th consecutive order of fuel assemblies was successfully dispatched in August 2026 by Ulba-FA LLP to its partners in the People’s Republic of China.
The final point of the Ust-Kamenogorsk – PRC route is not merely delivery, but a multi-stage acceptance procedure, during which specialists from both sides once again verify the product quality. Only after this do the FAs officially become a part of the future fuel campaign for the power unit.
Between 2022 and 2026, as part of the first 20 orders, fuel assemblies from Ulba-FA LLP were supplied to 6 nuclear power plants in China: Yangjiang, Fangchenggang, Ningde, Ling Ao, Hongyanhe and Daya Bay. During this period, the facility delivered 1,448 fuel assemblies with total mass of more than 660 tons of uranium. Each order had its own specifics; however, all the projects were successfully implemented thanks to the coordinated teamwork of specialists from Kazakhstan and China.
