Appreciation for Tradition
lba Metallurgical Plant team received a Letter of Appreciation from East Kazakhstan Natural Resources and Environmental Management Department for the contribution to improvement of the region's natural environment and expansion of green belt of our region.
This was preceded by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on joint environmental action to plant tree seedlings between the plant and the Regional Natural Resources Department. On 18 October, employees of UMP, Ulba-FA and MASHZAVOD, together with Verkh-Uba Forestry and Bolsheretsk Forestry, planted 20,000 fir trees near Verkh-Uba village.
The Plant's employees have been regularly carrying out urban greening activities in the city and areas surrounding the Plant for the past few years, undertaking to maintain and water the greenery. However, this is the first time such a large-scale initiative has been held in the Plant's history.
The participants agreed to continue working together to green the areas in our region.
