Compliance with High Standards
At Ulba Metallurgical Plant, the anti-bribery management system has successfully completed certification against the requirements of two standards: the national standard – ST RK ISO 37001-2025 – and the international standard – ISO 37001-2025.
ISO 37001 is an international standard that sets out requirements for an anti-bribery management system.
For an enterprise of UMP’s caliber, which works with international partners and suppliers, participates in tenders and exports products to dozens of countries, having such a system in place means: high levels of trust from partners – the world’s largest companies select only those suppliers who guarantee the integrity of transactions; protection of reputation – the standard helps to prevent, identify and respond to any corruption risks; a requirement of the times – it is a prerequisite for participation in international projects and for compliance with the best corporate governance practices of NAC Kazatomprom and Samruk-Kazyna Fund.
The certification audit was conducted by CERT International Kazakhstan LLP, an independent accredited body. The experts noted the high standard of the organization’s operational culture, the leadership demonstrated by senior management, the competence of key department heads, the responsible attitude of all personnel towards their duties, and the open and constructive atmosphere during the audit.
