A Glance into Tomorrow
On 20 August, UMP representatives of UMZ visited a family-type Children’s Village where orphans and children left without parental care live as part of ‘Tәlimger Project’. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the children to the work at the plant.
Employees of the HR department and representatives of the plant’s youth association (YA) visited the Children’s Village. Specialists from the Recruitment Group conducted career guidance work with the children to help them choose their future profession. They also presented information about the plant, corporate values of Kazatomprom, procedure for applying for current vacancies, working conditions, social benefits and career prospects.
Sergey Golovin, TO Production Preparation Engineer and Regional Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Youth Council for East Kazakhstan Region, and Arman Nugumanov, Strategic Development Manager and Deputy Chairman of the YM, spoke about the plant’s youth support policy, while athlete, UO Operator Mariya Yushkova shared her experience of successfully combining work in production with professional sports. Young people listened with interest to their older colleagues and asked questions that interested them.
