In the Name of Great Victory
On May the 5th, at the site of Ulba Metallurgical Plant, military unit 3477 organized a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the military forces formation and the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.
The chief of staff – deputy commander of military unit 3477, Lieutenant Colonel Denis Shemet, awarded the employees of the plant's security detachment. Among them: Vitaly Rudenko – Shift Supervisor, Alexander Abakumov, Arman Kairkanov, Askhat Salimov, Kanat Rustemov, Yerzhan Zeinollanov, Ilya Ponomarev, Medet Muratbek – Checkpoint Controllers, Dmitry Filimonov – Engineer – Operation of Technical Security Equipment, Daniil Vykhodtsev Instrumentation and Automation Fitter.
The honorary guest of the celebration was WWII veteran Anastasia Svetocheva. She was a military signal operator. After the war, she moved to Ust-Kamenogorsk where she still lives.
After the official part, a festive concert was held, where everyone's favorite songs of the war years were played.
