Uranium materials conversion

Unique process for fabrication of UO₂ powder of ceramic grade with up to 5%²³⁵U allows to use any U containing materials as the feed: UF₆, U oxides, UNH (reprocessed feed material), fuel process wastes including those containing Gd and Er, and also scraps of metal natural Uranium (mixtures of UF₄ and Mg, Carbon crucibles scrap, scraps contaminated with Gd, Er, Th, Tc, Si, C, Zr, Fe, scraps from research laboratories with inconsistent composition, metal U based scraps, material from research assemblies and fuel elements, etc.

Process is mainly different from the procedures implemented by the other fuel fabricators due to 100% refining of all Uranium used for the production process which allows to fabricate a product of high purity regardless the feed material used. Content of impurities in UO₂ powders meets the requirements of the leading producers.
The process allows to control powder ceramic properties according to the individual Customer specifications and does not depend on the type of the original material.
